It wasn’t diagnosed until he was 3 months old… because there are no “screens” for it, no signs of it, and no way of knowing until it is almost too late to do anything about. We were lucky b/c even though our primary care physician had no clue… they worked immediately to get us to someone who did know. Often, mis-diagnosis can end in blindness.
